The GTi Travel Group was formed following the merger of two of the leading Tour Operators in Britain, GTS Tours and International Friends:
GTS are Group Travel Specialists with a reputation built on a professional service, experience, imagination, value for money and a detailed knowledge of the tourism industry. GTS (formerly known as Greene's Travel Services) began trading in 2003.
International Friends has been operating tours specifically for overseas visitors to Britain since 2002. By offering a scheduled programme of day trips and tours throughout Britain and Europe, all operated to the highest standard and with a no cancellation policy, International Friends has fast become one of the most trusted and respected operators in the industry.

Following the merger the company directors (Jimmy Greene and Martin Robinson) quickly realised there was a gap in the market for a specific Travel Agency focusing on the 'young international visitor to the UK', and in January 2009 launched The Tour Shop. The Tour Shop sells tours, day trips and travel services from a carefully chosen small number of companies, all of which are market leaders in their fields.
